Michael Lockridge is a Los Angeles based Director of Photography and has been a member of the International Cinematographers Guild since 2014. He was born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota and attended Florida State University’s School of Motion Picture, TV and Recording Arts.

Michael has worked as a DP on commercials, music videos, documentaries and features. Commercial clients include: Phillips 66, Staples, Toyota, GM, American Express, Google, Wells Fargo, Yahoo and ESPN, among others.

His narrative feature work includes: The Ghost Who Walks (currently on Netflix), Buddymoon starring David Giuntoli and Flula Borg (Audience Award winner at Slamdance), Autumn Wanderer (Best Cinematography at the Edinburgh Film Festival), and the forthcoming New Year starring Timothy Murphy.

Michael's work in documentaries span many subjects from street art and activism in Buenos Aires (White Walls Say Nothing), to an American-born musician traveling to Vietnam with her mother (Nobody Dies with Thao Ngyuen), and students pitching innovative business ideas in an international competition (Own The Room, currently on Disney+). Michael is currently working on the TV adaption of the Sundance Audience Award film Science Fair for NatGeo & Disney+.

Michael received the 2017 ICG Emerging Cinematographer Award for his work on the short film (le) Rebound. The film premiered at Aspen Shortfest and screened at Achtung Berlin and Palm Springs International Shortfest.

He lives in Highland Park with his wife, son, and dog.
